- Create, browse, or join online lobbies.
- Play online multiplayer matches.
- View player profiles, podium results, or match statistics.

This Policy does not control the privacy practices of third-party services, app stores, device manufacturers, operating systems, or advertising networks. Their own privacy policies apply to their services.
3. Information We Collect
Gridfall follows a data-minimization approach. We try to collect only what is needed to run accounts, online multiplayer, safety, and basic game functionality.
| Category | What It Includes | When It Is Collected | Why It Is Used |
|---|---|---|---|
| Account Information | Email address, account identifier, authentication session tokens, and a player display name if you choose one. | When you register, log in, or use online multiplayer. | To create and secure your account, let you log in, identify you in online lobbies, and show your chosen display name to other players. |
| Online Lobby Information | Lobby code, host identifier, lobby settings, player slots, ready status, display names, connection signaling messages, and match status. | When you create, browse, join, ready up in, or start an online lobby. | To make online multiplayer work, synchronize lobby state, and connect players for a match. |
| Match Results and Gameplay Statistics | Winner, placements, score, games played, wins, losses, kills, deaths, falls, powerups collected, best score, total score, rating, last match identifier, and last played time. | At the end of online matches. | To show podium results, player profiles, casual competitive stats, and match history. |
| Local Settings | Audio preferences, camera preference, saved login session, and local game preferences stored on your device. | When you change settings or log in. | To remember your preferences and keep you signed in. These are stored locally unless needed for login. |
| Support Messages | Information you choose to provide when contacting us, such as email address, message content, device details, screenshots, or account/lobby information. | Only if you contact us. | To respond to your request, troubleshoot issues, and maintain records of support communications. |
| Advertising Data | Ad-related data may be processed by Google AdMob or its partners, such as ad interactions, approximate location derived from IP address, device or app information, advertising identifiers where permitted, and consent choices where required. | When ads are loaded or shown. | To show, measure, limit, and improve ads, subject to user consent, platform settings, and applicable law. |
Offline Play
Offline gameplay modes are designed to work without creating an online account. We do not intentionally collect personal information from offline Arcade or Tutorial gameplay. Some local preferences or scores may be stored on your device so the game can function correctly.
Online Play
Online multiplayer requires account authentication. The minimum account information is an email address and authentication data. Online gameplay may also store your display name and casual gameplay statistics so online profiles and match results can work.
4. Information We Do Not Collect
Gridfall itself does not intentionally collect:
- Real name, unless you choose to use it as your display name.
- Postal address.
- Phone number.
- Precise GPS location.
- Contacts or address book data.
- Photos, videos, microphone recordings, or camera data.
- Payment card information.
- Biometric data.
- Health data.
- Private chat messages, because Gridfall does not provide free-form chat.
Important: third-party services such as app stores, operating systems, Google Play services, or Google AdMob may process technical data according to their own policies. We do not control all data processed by those third-party services.
5. How We Use Information
We use collected information only for limited purposes:
- To create, authenticate, and maintain online accounts.
- To let players create, find, join, and manage online lobbies.
- To synchronize online match setup, countdowns, results, and player profiles.
- To keep online multiplayer functional, reliable, and reasonably secure.
- To show casual competitive stats such as rating, win/loss record, score, kills, deaths, falls, and powerups.
- To provide support if you contact us.
- To comply with legal obligations, platform policies, or safety requirements.
- To show ads, where allowed, through the advertising provider.
We do not use email addresses to sell user profiles, sell personal information, or send unrelated marketing emails.
6. Ads and Third-Party Advertising
Gridfall may display ads, including interstitial ads after gameplay sessions. Ads help support development and may be provided by Google AdMob.
AdMob and its partners may process information to load ads, prevent fraud, measure performance, frequency-cap ads, and comply with applicable privacy laws. Depending on your location, device settings, consent choices, age status, and platform rules, this may include:
- Ad interactions and impressions.
- Device and app information.
- Approximate location derived from IP address.
- Advertising identifiers where permitted by law and platform settings.
- Consent or privacy preference signals.
We do not sell your personal information to advertisers. We do not share your email address with advertisers for their independent marketing. However, ad providers may receive or process technical data as part of serving ads.
Personalized Ads and Consent
Where required by law, players may be asked for consent before personalized advertising or certain ad-related processing occurs. Players may also be able to limit ad personalization through device settings, Google account settings, or consent prompts shown by the advertising provider.
Ads and Children
If Gridfall is configured for users under the age of 13 or for child-directed treatment in a particular release or region, ads must be configured to comply with applicable child privacy and advertising rules, including use of appropriate child-directed ad settings and any required Families-compliant ad SDK behavior. Gridfall should not serve behaviorally targeted ads to children.
7. Children’s Privacy and COPPA
Gridfall is intended as a general-audience game and is not directed to children under 13. Children under 13 should not create an online account or use online multiplayer without verifiable parental consent where required by law.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 without required parental consent, we will take reasonable steps to delete that information or disable the account.
Parents or guardians who believe their child has provided personal information to Gridfall can contact us using the privacy contact above. Please include enough information for us to locate the account, such as the email address used for the account or the display name, but do not send unnecessary sensitive information.
For Parents and Guardians
- You may request deletion of a child’s account information.
- You may request that we stop further collection or use of a child’s personal information.
- You may ask what information we have associated with an account.
Play Store Target Audience
If Gridfall is later listed as targeting children or mixed audiences that include children, the app must be configured to comply with Google Play Families requirements, COPPA, and other applicable child privacy laws. This may require neutral age screening, child-directed ad treatment, disabling certain identifiers for children or users of unknown age, and additional parental consent workflows.
8. Legal Bases for Processing
Depending on your location, we may rely on one or more of the following legal bases:
- Contract: to provide online accounts, multiplayer lobbies, and gameplay services you request.
- Legitimate interests: to maintain game functionality, prevent abuse, improve reliability, and keep casual player stats.
- Consent: for certain advertising, privacy messaging, or optional features where consent is legally required.
- Legal obligation: to comply with laws, platform rules, valid requests, or enforcement requirements.
9. How Information Is Shared
Gridfall does not sell personal information. We do not share email addresses with other players or advertisers.
Information may be shared in these limited ways:
- With other players: your display name, ready status, lobby presence, match placement, and gameplay stats may be visible to other online players.
- With backend providers: account, lobby, match, and stats information may be processed by Supabase or similar backend infrastructure used to operate online multiplayer.
- With advertising providers: ad-related technical data may be processed by Google AdMob and its partners to show and measure ads.
- With platform providers: Google Play, Android, device manufacturers, or app stores may process data under their own policies.
- For legal or safety reasons: information may be disclosed if required by law, to protect rights and safety, or to investigate abuse or security issues.
- Business transfer: if Gridfall is transferred, sold, merged, or reorganized, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this Policy or a similar policy.
10. Public or Visible Gameplay Information
Online multiplayer is a shared experience. Some information is intentionally visible to other players, including:
- Display name.
- Player color.
- Lobby slot and ready status.
- Host status.
- Match placement and podium position.
- Gameplay statistics shown in profiles or results.
Do not use your real name or other personal details as your display name if you do not want other players to see them.
11. Data Retention
We keep information only for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described in this Policy.
- Account information: retained while your account exists or as needed for security and legal purposes.
- Online lobby and signaling data: intended to be temporary and used to operate current or recent lobbies and connections. Old lobbies and signaling data may be cleaned up periodically.
- Match results and player stats: may be retained to maintain profiles, podium history, and casual competitive records.
- Local settings: retained on your device until you clear app data, uninstall the app, or use in-app options if available.
- Support messages: retained as long as needed to respond and maintain support records.
12. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. Online account authentication and backend access controls are designed to limit unauthorized access. However, no online service, app, database, or transmission method is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Players should use a strong password and avoid sharing account credentials. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us promptly.
13. Your Choices and Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to:
- Access personal information associated with your account.
- Correct inaccurate account or profile information.
- Request deletion of your account or personal information.
- Object to or restrict certain processing.
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
- Opt out of certain advertising personalization through device, Google, or consent settings.
To make a privacy request, contact us using the privacy contact listed above. We may need to verify that you control the account before fulfilling certain requests.
14. Account Deletion
You may request deletion of your online account information by contacting us. Account deletion may remove or anonymize account details, email association, display name, and related profile information where technically and legally feasible.
Some records may be retained if needed for security, legal compliance, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or backup integrity. Public or aggregated gameplay stats may be anonymized rather than fully deleted where appropriate.
15. International Data Transfers
Gridfall’s backend providers, app stores, advertising providers, and infrastructure partners may process information in countries other than your own. Data protection laws in those countries may differ from the laws where you live. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards or provider commitments for international transfers.
16. Regional Privacy Notices
United States
We do not sell personal information. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without required parental consent. If state privacy laws apply to you, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or opt out of certain processing.
California
If the California Consumer Privacy Act or similar California laws apply, California residents may request access, deletion, correction, and information about categories of personal information collected, used, disclosed, or shared. Gridfall does not sell personal information as that term is commonly understood. Ad-related processing may be subject to separate opt-out or consent tools provided by Google, Android, or your device settings.
European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and Switzerland
If GDPR, UK GDPR, or similar laws apply, you may have rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict, object, port your data, and complain to your local data protection authority. Certain advertising or consent-sensitive processing may require consent. You may withdraw consent where applicable.
Brazil
If Brazil’s LGPD applies, you may have rights to confirm processing, access, correction, anonymization, blocking, deletion, portability, and information about sharing. You may also revoke consent where applicable.
17. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Signals
Gridfall does not currently respond to browser-based Do Not Track signals because the core app is a mobile game. Web pages related to Gridfall are informational and should not use ad tags or tracking scripts unless separately disclosed.
18. Third-Party Links and Services
Gridfall may link to app store pages, support pages, privacy policy pages, or third-party services. Third-party websites and services are governed by their own privacy policies. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third parties.
19. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date and, where appropriate, provide notice in the app, on the app page, or through platform tools. Your continued use of Gridfall after an update means the updated Policy applies.
