Gridfall Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information Gridfall collects, how it is used, how ads work, and what choices players and parents have.

Plain-language summary: Gridfall is designed to collect as little personal information as possible. The core game can be played without us collecting personal information. Online multiplayer requires an account, and the account uses an email address. Online play may also store a display name, lobby participation, match results, and gameplay statistics. Gridfall does not sell personal information. Gridfall uses ads, and the advertising provider may process data as described below.

This Policy does not control the privacy practices of third-party services, app stores, device manufacturers, operating systems, or advertising networks. Their own privacy policies apply to their services.

3. Information We Collect

Gridfall follows a data-minimization approach. We try to collect only what is needed to run accounts, online multiplayer, safety, and basic game functionality.

Category What It Includes When It Is Collected Why It Is Used
Account Information Email address, account identifier, authentication session tokens, and a player display name if you choose one. When you register, log in, or use online multiplayer. To create and secure your account, let you log in, identify you in online lobbies, and show your chosen display name to other players.
Online Lobby Information Lobby code, host identifier, lobby settings, player slots, ready status, display names, connection signaling messages, and match status. When you create, browse, join, ready up in, or start an online lobby. To make online multiplayer work, synchronize lobby state, and connect players for a match.
Match Results and Gameplay Statistics Winner, placements, score, games played, wins, losses, kills, deaths, falls, powerups collected, best score, total score, rating, last match identifier, and last played time. At the end of online matches. To show podium results, player profiles, casual competitive stats, and match history.
Local Settings Audio preferences, camera preference, saved login session, and local game preferences stored on your device. When you change settings or log in. To remember your preferences and keep you signed in. These are stored locally unless needed for login.
Support Messages Information you choose to provide when contacting us, such as email address, message content, device details, screenshots, or account/lobby information. Only if you contact us. To respond to your request, troubleshoot issues, and maintain records of support communications.
Advertising Data Ad-related data may be processed by Google AdMob or its partners, such as ad interactions, approximate location derived from IP address, device or app information, advertising identifiers where permitted, and consent choices where required. When ads are loaded or shown. To show, measure, limit, and improve ads, subject to user consent, platform settings, and applicable law.

Offline Play

Offline gameplay modes are designed to work without creating an online account. We do not intentionally collect personal information from offline Arcade or Tutorial gameplay. Some local preferences or scores may be stored on your device so the game can function correctly.

Online Play

Online multiplayer requires account authentication. The minimum account information is an email address and authentication data. Online gameplay may also store your display name and casual gameplay statistics so online profiles and match results can work.

4. Information We Do Not Collect

Gridfall itself does not intentionally collect:

Important: third-party services such as app stores, operating systems, Google Play services, or Google AdMob may process technical data according to their own policies. We do not control all data processed by those third-party services.

5. How We Use Information

We use collected information only for limited purposes:

We do not use email addresses to sell user profiles, sell personal information, or send unrelated marketing emails.

6. Ads and Third-Party Advertising

Gridfall may display ads, including interstitial ads after gameplay sessions. Ads help support development and may be provided by Google AdMob.

AdMob and its partners may process information to load ads, prevent fraud, measure performance, frequency-cap ads, and comply with applicable privacy laws. Depending on your location, device settings, consent choices, age status, and platform rules, this may include:

We do not sell your personal information to advertisers. We do not share your email address with advertisers for their independent marketing. However, ad providers may receive or process technical data as part of serving ads.

Personalized Ads and Consent

Where required by law, players may be asked for consent before personalized advertising or certain ad-related processing occurs. Players may also be able to limit ad personalization through device settings, Google account settings, or consent prompts shown by the advertising provider.

Ads and Children

If Gridfall is configured for users under the age of 13 or for child-directed treatment in a particular release or region, ads must be configured to comply with applicable child privacy and advertising rules, including use of appropriate child-directed ad settings and any required Families-compliant ad SDK behavior. Gridfall should not serve behaviorally targeted ads to children.

7. Children’s Privacy and COPPA

Gridfall is intended as a general-audience game and is not directed to children under 13. Children under 13 should not create an online account or use online multiplayer without verifiable parental consent where required by law.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 without required parental consent, we will take reasonable steps to delete that information or disable the account.

Parents or guardians who believe their child has provided personal information to Gridfall can contact us using the privacy contact above. Please include enough information for us to locate the account, such as the email address used for the account or the display name, but do not send unnecessary sensitive information.

For Parents and Guardians

Play Store Target Audience

If Gridfall is later listed as targeting children or mixed audiences that include children, the app must be configured to comply with Google Play Families requirements, COPPA, and other applicable child privacy laws. This may require neutral age screening, child-directed ad treatment, disabling certain identifiers for children or users of unknown age, and additional parental consent workflows.

8. Legal Bases for Processing

Depending on your location, we may rely on one or more of the following legal bases:

9. How Information Is Shared

Gridfall does not sell personal information. We do not share email addresses with other players or advertisers.

Information may be shared in these limited ways:

Do not use your real name or other personal details as your display name if you do not want other players to see them.

11. Data Retention

We keep information only for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described in this Policy.

12. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. Online account authentication and backend access controls are designed to limit unauthorized access. However, no online service, app, database, or transmission method is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Players should use a strong password and avoid sharing account credentials. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us promptly.

13. Your Choices and Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to:

To make a privacy request, contact us using the privacy contact listed above. We may need to verify that you control the account before fulfilling certain requests.

14. Account Deletion

You may request deletion of your online account information by contacting us. Account deletion may remove or anonymize account details, email association, display name, and related profile information where technically and legally feasible.

Some records may be retained if needed for security, legal compliance, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or backup integrity. Public or aggregated gameplay stats may be anonymized rather than fully deleted where appropriate.

15. International Data Transfers

Gridfall’s backend providers, app stores, advertising providers, and infrastructure partners may process information in countries other than your own. Data protection laws in those countries may differ from the laws where you live. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards or provider commitments for international transfers.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date and, where appropriate, provide notice in the app, on the app page, or through platform tools. Your continued use of Gridfall after an update means the updated Policy applies.
